Presidential Election – 2022 The observer appointed by the Election Commission of India reached Jaipur, took stock of the arrangements

. The Election Department has completed all the preparations for the Presidential Election 2022. The observer appointed by the Election Commission of India, senior officer of the Indian Administrative Service, Shri Rakesh Kumar Verma, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Chief Electoral Officer of Rajasthan, Shri Praveen Gupta, visited the polling place located in the assembly premises on Sunday and held a meeting. After discussing in detail all the arrangements related to it, gave directions to the officers.

Observer Mr. Verma said that all the officers should discharge their assigned roles and duties properly for the successful completion of the voting process in a peaceful manner and also ensure that the guidelines given by the Election Commission of India are followed.

In the meeting, Shri Praveen Gupta informed about all the arrangements related to polling place, security of ballot boxes and ballot papers, arrangements made for voters, media coverage. He said that all the guidelines given by the commission have been ensured for free, fair and peaceful elections. He said that after the completion of polling, arrangements have also been made for safe access to the ballot box containing the ballot paper and other election material at Parliament House, New Delhi.

Shri Gupta said that all arrangements have been made to make the entire voting process confidential and secure. A control room has also been set up for this. He said that for security, tight security arrangements have been made by the assembly marshal in the polling premises and police force inside and outside the building. He informed that the Kovid guidelines given by the state will also be followed during the voting. If a voter is Kovid positive, then the vote will be recorded last by that voter. He said that along with masks, sanitisers, glasses, ambulance facility would also be available for emergency situations at the polling place

On this occasion, supervisor Mr. Verma, Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Praveen Gupta and all the high officials took stock of the polling place and inspected the polling room, security arrangements, CCTV surveillance, strong room, waiting room for voters, room earmarked for media personnel. did. Shri Verma expressed satisfaction over all the preparations.

Voting will be held tomorrow, July 18, from 10 am to 5 pm in the polling booth located in the assembly premises. Before this, the strong room will be opened with videography at 9 am.
In the meeting, Additional Returning Officer Shri Krishna Kunal, Assistant Returning Officer Dr. Jogaram, Secretary, Autonomous Government Department and Shri Vinod Mishra, Chief Investigation and Reference Officer, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Director General of Police Law and Order Shri Bharatlal Meena, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Shri Yogesh Goyal, Deputy Commandant CISF Airport Shri Sugnaram, Additional Director Information and Public Relations Shri Arun Joshi, Director (Non-Gazetted) Medical and Health Department Shri Suresh Naval and officers of Election Department were present.
